About Karen Crockett, CHP
Karen is a 5th-generation Texan from Friendswood and a proud Abilene Christian graduate, where she met her husband. Motherhood deepened her understanding of what truly fosters health and well-being, and pointed her toward a long-held dream of supporting families on their healing journeys.
She trained through the School of Christian Health and Nutrition as a Christian Health Practitioner, where she gained insight into how God designed our bodies to seek balance and vitality through Creation. Her approach is integrated and whole-person, considering physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, and environmental factors rather than any one of them alone.
Karen believes lasting healing means not only resolution but education and empowerment. In practice that means she would rather you understand why a change matters than hand you a list to follow, so the habits hold once the appointments end.
Before this work she served in Children’s and Worship Ministry in Dallas for five years, then stayed home to raise their kids. She is a strong advocate for chiropractic care, homeopathy, pelvic floor therapy, and acupuncture.

Nutrition and health coaching at Sunlife
Nutrition at Sunlife is meant to work with chiropractic care, not replace it. Karen’s coaching looks at the full picture of daily life, food, stress, sleep, and environment, and helps families make changes that are realistic for the season they are actually in.
Dr. Tori also holds a Master of Functional Nutrition from Parker University, so nutrition can be part of the conversation in the treatment room as well. If you would like nutrition folded into your plan, mention it when you book.
Outside the office
Karen’s favourites: early morning walks, strength workouts with neighborhood friends, iced matcha, ’70s and ’80s rock plus Christian music from every decade, time outdoors, podcasts, reading, cooking nourishing meals, The Bible Recap, and time with family and friends.
